Stamped Concrete our process

Flint concrete uses a liquid integral color that is added to the concrete before pouring. Base colors can also be added using a topical color hardener. A release agent is needed to prevent the stamps from sticking to the unfinished concrete. The Release agent often gives the concrete a secondary color for a more natural look. Once the decorative concrete has properly cured, we pressure wash and apply a protective sealant. This gives the concrete colors more depth while increasing durability and resistance to stains.

What color is concrete when it dries?

It is usually white in color . It is caused by movement of soluble salts within the concrete to the surface. It usually appears within a day or two after placement or as long as a month or two later.

Why is concrete different colors?

Forms with different rates of absorption will cause surfaces with different shades of color. … Concrete surfaces that are troweled too early will increase the water-cement ratio at the surface and lighten the color. Concrete which is not properly or uniformly cured may develop discoloration.

Does Colored concrete fade?

The color pigments used in colored concrete are UV stable and fade resistant and does not fade. The cement does however change tones during the curing process and as it ages in the weather.

What Is the Best Way to Care for Colored Concrete?

Generally, colored concrete can be cleaned and maintained the same way as any other concrete surface. It is best to lightly clean stains with an approved cleaning product or soap. Many people who use colored concrete for indoor floors prefer to polish the surface for increased sheen.

Prior to Texas becoming independent, this trail entered Mexico. The city grew throughout the 20th century and, after the discovery of oil in Louisiana, became a national center for the oil industry. Standard Oil of Louisiana (absorbed by Standard Oil of New Jersey and now part of ExxonMobil) and United Gas Corporation (now part of Pennzoil) were headquartered in the city until the 1960s and 1980s. After the loss of jobs in the oil industry, the close of Shreveport Operations (a General Motors vehicle factory), and other economic problems the city struggled with a declining population, poverty, drugs and violent crime. Since Cedric Glover's tenure as mayor of Shreveport, the city began efforts to revitalize its infrastructure to end its population decline, revive the economy through diversification, and lower crime.Shreveport is the educational, commercial and cultural center of the Ark-La-Tex region, where Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas meet.
